I can’t say enough good things about this practice or of the medical staff that see my children! I have 4 children and have been with this practice for over 25 years! The care they have received is excellent, from birth through young adulthood. Amy Manion has been a constant steady hand through all of our children’s medical needs. I would like to thank “Dr. Amy” as our family affectionately calls her, and the entire staff for always being there for us! You are simply the BEST! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This practice has helped me raise my 3 kids for the last 19 years! Dr. Unger is a truly amazing, kind and compassionate doctor. She takes her time with our visit and listens to my children's concerns. She goes above and beyond to get us the right referrals if needed and always has the best recommendations for specialist. She has helped us keep our three kids happy and healthy for 19 years and counting! Love her!

I cannot say enough good things about this practice. Every single person we interact with, from the front desk staff to the nurses to the doctors-- all EXCEPTIONAL. They make things convenient and accessible, which to a working mom of three little children is HUGE. I am so grateful for the excellent care and attention they pay my children. AMAZING!!!

My children have been patients at NWCP for 22 years; both have serious medical issues and one is a special-needs child. Their experiences at NWCP with a variety of practitioners has been supportive, kind, thoughtful. I especially like how, as the children age up, NWCP has encouraged them to grow into the knowledge that they can have private relationships with medical practitioners in the future; emphasized being physically and sexually safe in their teen years; talked about screen time and its effects. They are another voice in my kids' ears about growth, safety, health, and well-being. NWCP has been particularly good with my special-needs child, always explaining first what will happen, practicing patience when a visit was going awry. I particularly want to note Amy Manion and Nancy Nelson, who--when I was a new mom--demonstrated such compassion and kindness not only to my first baby but to me. For 22 years, I have been grateful for NWCP's attention to my kids. It is an excellent pediatric practice.

Dr Rebecca Unger is "One of a Kind" and very thoughtful with every aspect of helping us raise our children. She does not rush our visits, answers all our questions thoroughly (sometimes 3 times over again), and shows genuine concern for our children and our families well-being.
What impresses me the most is that Dr Unger is engaged with our young children on "their" level. She speaks to them. And what shocks me is they LISTEN to her. She gets down to their level and looks them in the eyes. It makes all the difference in the world. And as parents we also LEARN from Dr Unger each time we are at Northwestern Children's Practice whether it is a new book for the kids, a new book for us, a new parent coaching method, or just something for all of us to think about for a more health family lifestyle both emotionally and physically.
Doctor visits are "fun" because of Dr Unger and her amazing support team and colleagues make them so. We are grateful for the support that Northwestern Children's Practice has provided our family over many years.

I don't know if there is enough space to write all of the positive things that I have to say about this practice ... responsive, professional, experts in their field, kind, practical, always available, etc., etc. Simply put, our family loves this practice and the doctors, nurses, and staff who care for our son. We've had same-day appointments, utilized walk-in visits, had late-night calls to the doctor on call, spoken with their lactation consultants, spoken with their nurses, and have been referred to the best docs at Lurie for certain issues. We trust this group completely.
